Just about an hour’s drive from Paris, Monet’s garden was exquisite on a warm, sunny morning. The lily pond is connected to the main sun garden by a tunnel under a road. The views from Monet’s bedroom on the second floor of his house are inspiring. If you go, be sure to visit the Impressionist Museum and gardens, just a short walk down the road. It is outstanding.
